seo-ops

Plan, submit and track pages that AI assistants cite

seo-ops is the internal app aintnobody.agency uses to run AI-search pages for confport.com, pigeonholehq.com and brainstead.si. Each page answers one question people ask ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity about a product they already use. The app holds the page's spec, submits it to Google, Bing and IndexNow, audits it against a fixed checklist, and records which AI engines cite it. Sign-in is limited to people granted access in m1au's Zitadel.

What the app does

Pages

Every planned page per site with its entity, target queries, title, H1 and status. Add a page from a form; the spec is checked against the template rules and committed to the repo under your name.

Indexing

Submit sitemaps to Google Search Console and Bing, submit single URLs to Bing, ping IndexNow, and check whether Google and Bing have indexed each page. Every submission is logged with who sent it.

Audit

Fetches the live page the way an AI crawler does and checks title length, one H1, a quotable first paragraph, five FAQ questions, canonical and Open Graph tags, sibling links, placeholders, and robots.txt access.

Citations

Runs each target query through OpenAI web search, Perplexity, Claude web search and Google's top 10, and shows which page each engine cited instead of ours.

How a page moves through seo-ops

  1. Spec. A page starts as pages/<site>/<slug>.md: one entity, two or more target queries, title, H1, siblings and any open fact. An open fact blocks the page until someone answers it.
  2. Draft. The page is written in the site's own repo from a 12-section template, then audited before review.
  3. Review. A person approves it. Agents draft, audit and measure; they never approve.
  4. Live. The page ships, its URL goes into the sitemap, and the sitemap is submitted to Google and Bing from the app.
  5. Indexed. Checked with Search Console URL Inspection and Bing URL info about 14 days after launch.
  6. Cited. Checked by the citation scout about 30 days after launch, then every week.

Frequently asked questions

Who can sign in?

People with the ops role on the seoai project in auth.m1au.com. Having an m1au account is not enough; a user without the role is stopped at the login screen.

Can the app request indexing in Google for a single URL?

No. Google's Indexing API only covers job postings and livestreams. The app submits the sitemap and checks index status; requesting indexing for one URL stays a manual step in Search Console.

Where does the data live?

In a git repository. Page specs are Markdown files and every measurement is an append-only CSV row, so each change and each run is a commit with an author.

Where are the API keys kept?

In Kubernetes Secrets on the server that runs the app. They never appear in the repo, in a ticket or on a page; the settings screen only shows whether each key is set.

How much does it cost?

The app is not sold. Its running cost is the server it shares with other m1au apps plus the AI engine API calls the citation scout makes.

What isn't it?

It is not a rank tracker, a link-building tool or a content generator. It tracks a small number of factual pages from plan to citation.
